Let corporate banksters handle it instead.
Everything will be fine.

The Brownstone Institute is supposed to be a 'Conservative-Libertarian' group.

If we look at this from the point of view of tradiitonal Conservativism (before Radical Reagan Republicans took over), then Assisted Suicide in the US would save an estimated $600 million/year and in the UK, £100 million/year. It's been considered only for the terminally ill who only have a short time to live. Governmental intervention would be minimal, if at all, as medical professionals and immediate family members would manage the assisted suicide. There is the potential to abuse this law, but the benefits outweigh the potential risks at the moment. States (in the US) like Oregon have allowed assisted suicide for the terminally ill. Scotland almost approved an assisted suicide bill in March, but it was rejected.

I think assisted suicide or euthanasia should be an option for the terminally ill, but only for the terminally ill. Not an option for depression or the handicapped. Too many evil fucks who place the value of dollars over human life.
