Good lineup. Not sure I'll be on time. Got some work.

A classmate, Max Bruce, worked on Contact. Now he's a bigwig at Sony. I was at his place in LA for a couple weeks looking for work, but got called out to NY, so our paths diverged.

A coworker, Jeff Linell, worked on Gravity. He was a brilliant technical animator. Watching the making-of I learned he'd quit animation to do robotics that control the camera.

I recommend 'Project Hail Mary', which is still in theatres. Though would also recommend getting it at IPT and watching it at the Hub, if that's allowed. (If you'd like an invitation to IPT, let me know.)~

Been thinking of actually time off to go to the IMAX of that.
Turns out some Mario thing is now occupying IMAX.
Might still see the regular format on Saturday anyway.

I've managed to avoid everything about it. On purpose.
All I know is Weir wrote it, it's about space, and Ryan is in it.
And apparently it's got great cinematography and LUTs.

    IPT?

So would it be a cam or a leak? I would use a VPN for sure at least.

    [-]pumpkin3(+3|0)

Surprisingly there is a version available to that looks like a 'leak', as it's not apparently a cam. Agreed, a properly configured VPN should be used. (In the US a VPN is not necessary for IPT, which is surprising, but a VPN should be used anyway. I am happy to invite people. BTW, I also subscribe to Netflix, Amazon, Apple & BBC iPlayer, so IPT is merely a backup resource, as has been tradiitonally intended, at least in writing.)

Gravity was great when I saw it in imax but I watched it again at home and it was still good but Not great imo.

I've only seen it once. I enjoyed it. I guess I'm going to find out what a second experience is like.

Oh yeah and it was in 3d with the glasses and that actually worked well for it. So yeah I guess the visuals aren't as great on a tv, not shocking.
