I kind of liked that he wasn't willing to play the game asked in the debate of "Where are you visiting first after you get elected and why is it Israel?"

Do you figure the Jews that voted for him were anti-Zionist?

[-]VantaFount3(+3|0)

No, just anti-American

We normally agree, but in this case I'd note that Mamdani supposedly got 33% of the Jewish vote in NYC, contrasted with Cuomo getting 63% if the Jewish vote. There's another estimate of 40% of the Jewish vote for Mamdani, but I can't find it. IMO voting for Cuomo was anti-American, as it was a vote for corruption and mismanagement. Here is a list of some of the concerns. Mamdani's win is also important because it's symbolic that young Democrats can win elections and thereby replace the old corrupt Democrats.

Two things I should admit, here:
A: I was drunkenly shooting from the hip with my comment
B: You are likely more familiar with the situation than I am.
I live nowhere near NYC, have zero interest in ever seeing the place, and generally pay it as little attention as possible.
However, I've lost all confidence in voting in the US (for anything more important than town mayor), and personally believe that no matter which "side" is voted for, it will almost always result in a net loss for the general populace.
It seems to me that to take one of the coveted ONLY TWO ALLOWED spots that will be presented to the people rather than ridiculed and derided into obscurity, the candidates are required to swear fealty to some demonic entity er, outside interest.

33 symbolism

Right. The Jews in New York split their vote perfectly to show support for Scottish Rite Freemasonry.

I think I saw that on Ancient Aliens

One third of (((them))) agree.
