I'm struggling to figure out my personal one. So maybe this is constructive to think globally first. Like a personal NYR there can be multiple that are good but you've got to pick one. Obviously doing the same one every year is lame. Every prior year we said World Peace but we usually fuck it up in three days. So do we try again with the classic or does humanity go for something else this year?

I think this year maybe we finally get sound money? We keep saying we'll set that up.

Please define "sound money", along with the pros and cons, outline what's needed to "set that up", and how we'd get folks (local, regional, global) to go along with it.

It wouldn't be a typical resolution if it wasn't illdefined will no actionable steps. /s

What I'd like to see is wide spread adoption of precious metal back crypto currencies, and common exchange of them. We could operate at the speed of digital while using gold as our units. The tech is already there. We just need people to take interest. Network demand is a tough cookie.

Unrealistic, but maybe the most realistic path, might be to get a lot of like minded people in the same town who would be interested in doing that, then the commercial practice can spread. There already is a town a bit like that in Keene. So maybe the smooth path is to organize a no-dollars flea market with Keene folks. I guess I need to move to Keene to make that happen, unless we have some contacts in Keene that can be sold on the idea.

Or maybe Windsor would be into it. You'd have to do a training meeting on how to use PAXG on a phone.

precious metal back crypto currencies

We've had 7K Metals (IIRC) presentations at some of our freedom meetings. You can buy and hold, buy and let them hold it, and also buy and let them hold it AND transfer it to others in their system. I often thought if a bunch of us used it we would have an alt currency. They also have a kind of reference rewards thing that sounds pyramid-ish. The biggest problem as I see it is that it's centralized control though distributed, though they seem to claim to know all the pitfalls and traps and have ways to not get corrupted or invaded.

Unrealistic, but

Funny, I'd already wrote the above paragraph. Some folks might be willing to try. Many of us promote cash. I should get back at finishing some of those projects. Is PAXG an app, currency, or a term for the price of gold?

I like the idea of gold-backs as well as perforated silver & gold that can be broken off in measured amounts.

I would like folks to get used to using different currencies the way some folks use different languages or measurements. A timebank would be good (my time is as good as anyone's, though our expertise may not be) - but it requires adoption or it dies. Even an open ledger on a wiki for folks from a community who know and trust each other could be a start.

And then the trickiest of all - how to get people to pay me for having sex with them.

PAXG is a currency. It's backed by gold held by the Perth mint. There is also XAUT, another currency. I'm not certain on their pegging system is for XAUT, but it is also pegged to gold.

The 7K Metals thing sounds more complicated to use because you'd have to call them up everytime you want to tell them to move gold into someone else's account. Then you'd have to prove you are who you are. If you had people in Windor willing to entertain doing that then PAXG should be within what they are interested in and willing to do. PAXG is similar but you just scan a person's QR code and click send, usuing whatever wallet app you want.

There is also silver and copper versions of this. But the copper one is brand new and not very accessible right now.

you'd have to call them up everytime

It's digital, like an e-transfer of funds - but all at the same bank using their own internal system and site. I don't know if they would call that a "currency", but I would. PAXG and XAUT sound groovy too.

There is also silver and copper versions of this.

I know they deal silver too. Maybe platinum. Copper is neat and new to me as an investment, though the junkies in Windsor are certainly trying to steal all they can.

A friend makes and sells colloidal silver, copper, and zinc. He'd like to do gold too but it's expensive.

NYR = New Years Rangers or New York Resolutions?

The new A.I. tech tool can be used for good, benefiting the few who may use it - but the rest of humanity will lose, as will truth, freedom, and health. Resist dance is not fruit isle.

One is not enough as these three are inextricably tied together: the Truth-Freedom-Health movement promoted by Dr. Shiva. That summarizes my broad focus when I talk to folks about my focus, particularly as Santa Libertas. Though I would use this every year, since I can't even remember the last time I bothered with a resolution, this would be my first time using it. Boring I know, and it's not even much of a resolution. An important part of freedom is communications that will soon suffer greatly - thus we need alternative channels.

On a personal note, I guess I lost about 40 pounds over the last 5 years but pretty much stalled. I aim to lose another 20 or 30 if I can - ideally before summer. I don't need NYE or resolutions for permission. In my circumstances I'm just not entirely sure how other than to double down on focus and discipline somehow.

World War 3.0 with Europe, Russia, and the Middle East.

[-]JasonCarswell2(+2|0)

You want war?

[-]RickSanchez3(+3|0)

No, but we break resolutions like crazy, might as well make one we hope to break.
