You aren't the first person to say that. But I just tested it and it works. Both for comments and posts. If pressing the back button you may need to hit refresh because the back button will just restore the original html.

I'm assuming you did the same thing as I did to test it. I clicked on a username, then in the sidebar I click 'Block user'. Then I came back here and refreshed and they were gone. I then went to settings and deleted what was in the block area to bring them back.
I just tested it with two users blocked at the same time just to re-check that. It seems to work.
Previously it wasn't working for me, I'd click block and it said "success" but nothing happened and I had to block them manually on my settings page. I just tried it again though and it appears to be working now.
I tried doing that too. Are some people here "power users" that you can't block? That'd be lame but that's how it is on Reddit. Can't block admins etc.

The block button doesn't seem to work, some of these people from saidit are trolls, can we fix that so I can block them? Very important .

The most important aspect of blocking someone is to make sure everybody knows so you can say "pwned!".

That's helpful to know. It tells me what layer to look at for a bug.
